Showcase Manager is a user-friendly facility that allows an IIS client to manage the information and pictures that appear on his Showcase page(s), thereby enabling the client to present up-to-date information to the web site viewer(s).
Showcase Manager can be implemented on any web site whether hosted by IIS or not - a simple link from the client's web site (button or text link) calls the IIS showcase page which then appears in a separate window.
All management of the Showcase page(s) takes place using a client IIS login, which directs the client to our secure management pages. From here, pictures can be uploaded from the client's PC, automatically sized and placed in the appropriate place on our server. Information to go with each picture is also entered from our management page(s) via an easy-to-use form. The order in which pictures and corresponding text appear can also be changed by the client.
When the viewer sees a Showcase page, relatively small images are displayed - these images are automatically generated from the full size images that have been uploaded by the client. The client therefore only needs to upload one size image. Images are automatically optimized by our system and checked for file size before uploading takes place, ensuring best possible results on the web page.
The layout of a Showcase page is custom-authored by IIS (background, colour scheme, logos etc) whereas the specific Showcase information is managed solely by the client. Showcase pages can therefore be tailored to suit the needs of each client. Showcase Manager can be accessed 24 hrs a day 7 days a week, enabling content to be fully up-to-date, enabling IIS clients to provide a better customer service to their customers.
Typical applications include:
- Real Estate (up-to-date pics and details of latest properties for sale/rent)
- Vehicle Sales (on-line vehicle showroom page(s) updated daily)
- Projects (examples of projects the client has contributed to or developed)
- Specials (latest special offers for products or services)
- Products (fast-changing product illustration & descriptions)
- And many more application where information needs to be kept up-to-date
IIS will customize the page(s) to suit individual needs, or choose from a list of pre-designed templates.
Web authoring is an expensive business and user-updateable pages usually require your service provider to manage the page(s) via database resources, which can add considerably to hosting fees. IIS has developed a platform that can be shared by many clients, therefore optimizing resources and reducing cost.
Showcase Manager can be configured and be up and running usually within 24 hours - a lot faster than having a system developed in-house. Full training is supplied on our premises to ensure our clients understand are able to make best use of the system.
Showcase Manager is a subscription service for clients whose web sites are hosted by services providers other than IIS. There is a one-time charge for configuration and any special development, and a monthly subscription fee.
For IIS web sites, Showcase Manager carries a one-time charge and a small additional hosting fee for this powerful database-driven facility.
